** Questionable choices**: ] doesn't fit, but it is so so strong and such a deterrent that I included it until I find something more appropriate. Also, the deck doesn't have the robust toolbox because that isn't the point for this deck. Beast Within would be handy, but I don't have a spare. **Answers*\*: The deck has a few cards to answer problems, but maybe not enough. ], ] and ] have been particularly strong for. ** Draw**: With 12 draw spells, I feel this deck does well here. I am a little light here for my liking at 11 cards, but so far, the deck plays well, maybe because I run 38 lands. ** Ramp**: Creatures that ramp are preferred due to synergy. The Persist creatures can gain infinite recursion. If this is preferred for you, cards like ] would be a good addition. One is through aggro and turning creatures sideways. ** Wincons:** This deck wins in one of two ways. If CEDH is your thing though, cut Sek'Kuar and get ]. It can turned into something more fun if more emphasis was placed on going wide. I have found the deck to be a good deck for strengthening your game play. Rather, it is a mid-range deck that works a players ability to manage a semi-complex board state. Nor is it for the player looking for a strictly 'fun' deck (although I enjoy playing it). ** Who is the deck for:** This deck is not for someone looking for a budget competitive deck. ![]() Finally, it seemed like a great value engine for a budget deck. Those decks might indeed be cheaper than their more competitive counterparts, but they are in no way budget. ![]() It comes down to the fact that I was tired of seeing people posting their "budget" decks on other subs or on other forums only to find out they were actually $100, $200, or even $300+. However they likely will be easy to upgrade if you do wish to spend a little extra money. Decks here probably won't be anything close to top tier, as they are only $50 or $25. The goal of this sub is to provide players with actually budget edh decks that they can use for casual games.
